• Amber glass bottles are useful for storing light-sensitive soulutions and reagents. • Choice of stopper type – both provide air-tight closures 1. Ground glass Note: Use of stopcock grease on ground glass fittings will allow stopper to be more easily removed 2. Plastic fitted stopper – easier to remove than ground glass stoppers after storage for an extended time • Parafilm can be used to prevent spills and laboratory accidents when stoppers are removed • Reagent bottles may show slight imperfections in glass • Caution: Do not store hydrofluoric acid, acid fluorides, or alkali solutions in glass bottles - Capacity: 125ml/4oz - I.D.
